Piedmont AHEC Offers Clinical Precepting Series
Piedmont AHEC offers a self-paced Clinical Precepting Online Series. The series is free for North Carolina facilities interested in offering a clinical site for rotation or in need of support in preparing preceptors.
The series provides a great overview of preparing to precept students, residents, or advanced learners. The Clinical Precepting Online Series courses include:
- 101: The Role of the Clinical Preceptor, Host Clinical Site, and Legal Considerations; 2.0 Contact Hours
- 102: Planning for and Providing Clinical Learning Experiences; 1.50 Contact Hours
- 103: Communication, Learner Self-Assessment, and Preceptor Feedback; 1.50 Contact Hours
- 104: Managing Difficult Situations in the Clinical Learning Environment; 1.5 Contact Hours
- 105: Inclusive Precepting Practices; 1.0 Contact Hours
- 106: Disability Inclusion; 0.5 Contact Hours
